Mission statement

Our mission is to work collaboratively to find preventative, up-stream, and innovative solutions to alleviate health disparities to transform our three-county region, Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey counties (AMY).

Our Model

Capacity Building

We empower individuals and organizations by leveraging resources and partnerships to sustainably and measurably help nonprofits build their capacity to affect more change.

Regional Connectivity

We believe the most effective way to create change is through collaboration. We strive to understand health inequities that affect our communities by redefining who community “experts” are. We learn from advocates, leaders, and those with lived experiences through strategic meetings that ultimately drive our efforts as an organization.

Funding Opportunities

Investing in our communities is our top priority. We seek to support up-stream, innovative and preventative solutions to effectively impact health barriers.
