AMY WELLNESS FOUNDATION HONORED WITH OUTSTANDING ORGANIZATION AWARD BY ASSOCIATION OF FUNDRAISING PROFESSIONALS OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA

The AMY Wellness Foundation (AMYWF) is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded the Outstanding Organization Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) of Western North Carolina. The AFP of Western North Carolina, an organization dedicated to advancing philanthropy and recognizing excellence in fundraising, chose AMY Wellness Foundation for its outstanding contributions to the community and commitment to making a lasting impact.

Since AMYWF’s inception in 2019, the Foundation has invested over $7.6 million into the area to support programs ranging from The Three Peaks Enrichment Center – a major investment in Mayland Community College and the Mitchell County YMCA, to supporting students’ mental health in the school systems, to community gardens, home repair programs, workforce housing units in downtown Spruce Pine, and so much more. Receiving this award reflects AMY Wellness Foundation’s dedication to promoting health and well-being in the region.

“We are deeply honored to receive the Outstanding Organization Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Western North Carolina,” said Luke Howe, Executive Director at AMY Wellness Foundation. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and passion of our team, as well as the generosity of our supporters and our grant partners. Together, we are making strides toward a healthier and more vibrant community” Howe said.

AMYWF is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the communities of Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties and can only do this through the visionary leadership of its Board of Directors, the support of incredible grant partners, generous donors, and the dedication of hard-working staff members. AMY Wellness Foundation extends its gratitude to those individuals as well as the AFP of Western North Carolina for this acknowledgment and looks forward to continuing its mission of fostering wellness and positive change.
