Lisa Schultz

Lisa Schultz worked for 20 years as a Human Resources Manager at for-profit and not-for-profit companies. She then trained to become a Montessori Preschool Teacher. Mrs. Schultz and her husband, Bill, moved to Yancey County in 2004 to work for Arthur Morgan School. Thereafter, she worked for Spruce Pine Montessori School before retirement.

Mrs. Schultz enjoys spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, who also live in Yancey County. She is active volunteering with SEARCH (Sustaining Essential and Rural Community Health) and MY Neighbors, an organization that helps folks age in their homes.

Since her time in HR management, Mrs. Schultz has had a keen interest in the complex factors that determine community health.
