Barbara Middleton

After a career as a school librarian in Georgia, Maryland, and Virginia, Ms. Middleton moved to Mitchell County in 2002 and spent the next eight years as the librarian for Gouge Elementary in Bakersville.

In addition to serving on the AMY Wellness Foundation Board, she has been a member of various other boards such as; Mitchell County Historic Courthouse Foundation, Mitchell County Historical Society, Mitchell County Library, Board of the Toe River Arts Council and the Vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church.
